Elevator is a transport vehicle that moves people or goods between floors or building. Elevator can be used in home, building or underground construction.
Escalator
Escalators are moving staircases. Escalator can be described as moving stairs typically used to carry large number of people at high volumes through a limited no of floors.
Elevator vs escalator
- Escalator are big in size and expensive installation, on the other hand elevator are small in size and it is less expensive.
- Elevator take less space to install, whereas escalators take more space to install
- Elevator can be install in home but escalator can not install in home
- Elevators require frequent maintenance, emergency maintenance contracts, annual and five-year inspections and every 15-20 years, a major overhaul. But escalator more amount to install.
- Elevator take less maintenance amount whereas escalator are big in size that’s why they take more amount
- There are less parts use in elevator on the other hand escalator are bulky that’s why more parts use in elevator
Overall conclusion is escalator is more costlier than elevator.
